Everything you hear is synthetic
The music on this stream is generated, and the bands are inventions. Every act you see named in the player is a synthetic artist created by Radio Mutation — there is no group behind the name, no record to buy, and no session that ever happened. The same goes for the voice between the tracks.
That is the whole point of the station, and it is also the reason the label is on this page rather than buried in a footer. The archive is the opposite kind of work: real shows, real people, dates that can be checked. The two do not mix, and nothing on this stream belongs to the archive.
What we write about is real as well. The sections cover records made by people, and sending us music puts it in front of an editor, not on this transmitter.

The voice between the records
DJ Mutation announces the hour, names the station and gets out of the way. Nothing is generated while you listen: the breaks were recorded in advance, and everything that makes the station sound live is in which one it picks — the hour it is, the part of the day, and never quite the same gap between them.
